    Two Sisters in China

    By daniel | March 22, 2008

Here is the story of two sisters in China. Chinese Christians believe they are all called to evangelize the lost. Everyone is expected to go out and share the message of God’s forgiveness and demonstrate His power to those who have never heard. Their methods are simple: 1) Enter a village and inquire about the biggest problem facing the people. 2) Solve the problem through the miraculous power of God. 3) Preach Jesus to the people.

Two sisters, 18 years old and very tiny, were sent by their group of believers to a village of about 300. When they asked about the biggest problem, the villagers told them of a man possessed by demons. He was so powerful that twelve large farmers could not hold him back. They had tried with wires and chains, but he had the power to break free. This man lived at the entrance to the village and did not allow anyone to walk through his property to enter or leave the village. All 300 people had to go through the forest instead of using the road. If anyone stepped over his invisible property line, he rushed out of his home with a jungle knife shouting, “I’m going to kill you!”

The sisters immediately turned and started walking toward the demon possessed man’s house. The whole village followed to see the crazy man, half naked come flying at them with his knife.

Sister Lee was leading and the first one to step over the property line. When the crazed man rushed out toward them, she lifted her hand and said, “In the name of Jesus, stop.” The man froze in midair like a statue. He was like a stone; even his eyes were frozen.

This happens quite often in China. The believers there know that the body is frozen by the Holy Spirit, but that the frozen person can still hear any message you share.

Sister Lee went to the “statue” and began to proclaim the gospel. Then, through the name of Jesus, she cast 12 demons out of the man. He melted right on the spot like butter in sunshine and was completely restored. The first words he spoke were, “This Jesus is Lord.”

Together the restored man and the two girls entered the village. As they passed the door of each house, the families one by one confessed that Jesus was the Son of God. The whole village of 300 surrendered to the Lord that evening. These are the very simple evangelism methods of the Chinese: problem, solution, salvation.
